Job Description:
A well-established, multi-discipline contracting company specializing in Building Repairs & Refurbishment, Groundworks & Minor Civils, Landscape Management, and Electrical Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their team in the Swindon area.
Role Overview:
You will manage multiple ongoing projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and time constraints. This senior role involves managing both directly employed labour and subcontractors, developing contract management strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage numerous projects from pre-construction to completion
* Oversee directly employed labour and subcontractors to ensure timely, budget-compliant project delivery
* Use Microsoft Project to create and maintain work programmes and project plans
* Develop and implement effective contract management strategies and processes
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders
* Report directly to the Operations Director at Head Office
* Collaborate with Estimators and Quantity Surveyors on budgets and time allowances
* Lead a team including two Contracts Managers and around 10 operatives
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in groundworks contract management (essential)
* Valid SMSTS certification
* Current First Aid at Work qualification
* Valid CSCS card
* Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage multi-project contracts
* Experience using Microsoft Project for scheduling and planning
* Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Package:
* Salary: £60,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience
* Company vehicle provided
