Advanced Pharmacist – Critical Care and Theatres
Join us as an Advanced Pharmacist – Critical Care and Theatres at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT. This 37.5 hour permanent role (Band 8A) offers 50% focus on critical care and theatres, with the remaining 50% in Clinical Pharmacy. It includes a new Chief Pharmacist, a two‑year departmental strategy, and a pharmacy robot replacement.
The position involves extended hours, weekend, bank holiday and on‑call service. It offers significant autonomy in developing critical care and theatre services, specialist training, audit, research and leadership development.
Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical pharmacy services to critical care and theatres.
* Lead on development of guidelines, regimens, policies, and prescribing protocols for the Acute Trust/Outreach team and critical care and theatres.
* Provide specialist pharmaceutical advice and support in critical care and theatres.
* Collaborate with Advanced Clinical Pharmacist – Surgery/Trauma and Orthopaedics and those for General and Specialty Medicine to ensure robust medicines management governance and seamless transition.
* Produce reports and present clinical and financial information to relevant specialty and divisional meetings.
