Job Title: Payroll Supervisor\n\nSalary: £35,000\n\nWorking Structure: 3 days office / 2 days home (Office based for probation)\n\nLocation: Merseyside \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and support the payroll team, ensuring deadlines are met, timesheets are accurate, and quality standards are maintained.\n\nProvide guidance to team members, helping to resolve queries and identify opportunities for process improvement.\n\nOversee payroll compliance, including statutory filings, pension uploads, and internal auditing.\n\nAct as a key point of contact with HMRC, pension providers, and other external stakeholders.\n\nDeliver an exceptional client experience, offering timely, professional, and accurate service at all times.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile:\n\nProven ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.\n\nStrong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.\n\nConfident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ payroll experience within an organisation.\n\n(Desirable) Experience using BrightPay and Xero payroll software.\n\n(Desirable) Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using iMac systems.\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary with review after probation\n\nUp to 2 weeks’ paid leave over Christmas/New Year\n\n28 days’ holiday (increasing with service)\n\nFree on-site parking\n\nHybrid working model (after probation)\n\nExcellent personal and professional development opportunities\n\n\n📩 Interested?
