Financial Accountant - Holsworthy - £40 - £45,000 + generous hybrid working policy

Having partnered successfully with this organisation before, we’re excited to support them again as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant.
This is a broad, hands-on role that will suit a technically capable accountant who enjoys being close to the detail while still playing a visible role in the wider commercial performance of the business. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, cash flow, payroll and month-end reporting, working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
Key responsibilities will include:
-Full responsibility for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
- Cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations and weekly reporting
- Maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers, including VAT returns
- Payroll processing, pensions and HMRC submissions
- Month-end close including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Management accounts preparation and year-end support
- Liaison with external accountants, auditors and finance providers
- Ongoing support for trade and invoice finance facilities
We’re keen to hear from candidates with proven experience in a Financial Accountant (or similar) role, bringing a strong technical grounding across bookkeeping and month-end accounting, confidence using modern accounting systems (QuickBooks highly desirable), and a solid understanding of payroll, PAYE and pensions.
You’ll be comfortable working with Excel, have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and be able to manage your own workload with minimal supervision.
