Personal Assistant (PA)
We are seeking a caring and reliable Personal Assistant to support a gentleman with Down syndrome in accessing his local community and participating in a range of sporting activities. The role involves providing one-to-one support to build confidence, encourage independence, and ensure safe, enjoyable involvement in activities such as gym sessions, swimming, team sports, and community events.
Responsibilities
* Offer practical and motivational support to enable community access and participation in sporting and social activities.
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
* Support with travel and timekeeping and ensure wellbeing and safety.
* Follow agreed support plans and communicate effectively with family or professionals as required.
* Always uphold dignity, respect, and personal choice.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a PA or an interest in sports and inclusion is desirable.
Compensation and Hours
* Hourly Rate: £13 per hour
* Micro Provider & Self Employed PA's Rate of Pay (£/per hour): £15.60
* Hours Per Week: 6
* Hours Used:
o Monday 17:30-19:30
o Tuesday 11:30-15:30
* Employer requires transport: Yes
