Job Description
A friendly and innovative primary school in Platt Bridge is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their team. This full-time role starting in September offers the opportunity to complete your ECT induction, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for primary ages children in line with the national curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
• Deliver daily phonics sessions, using the Read Write Inc. programme (training can be provided)
• Prepare pupils for the Year 1 phonics screening check with support from the KS1 Lead
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction
• Has an interest in or some experience of teaching phonics (Read Write Inc. desirable but not essential)
• Is committed to supporting pupils in early reading and phonics development
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
