About the role
Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming Primary Schools in the Chaddesden (DE21) area, who are recruiting for Supply KS1 Teachers to work on a day-to-day supply basis. This role includes full classroom responsibilities during cover days: delivering lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils’ progress. No lesson planning is required.

Assignment Details
Roles are available immediately and run throughout the academic year. Opportunities include both day-to-day supply and longer-term assignments, with part-time and full-time options available to suit individual availability and preferences.

Person Specification
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children aged 4–7 in a UK primary school
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
• Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
