Change Project Manager – Sport World Championship
Excitingly, this is a newly created role for a Change and Transformation Project Manager, working closely and supporting the Managing Director of a Sports World Championship. This is a role where you will have the scope and latitude to shape and define business’s change projects and programmes, setting business direction.
This role will suit a Project Manager with experience supporting executive leaders within a fast-paced, complex business, ideally in a sport or entertainment environment. You would have worked in extremely structure environments, whilst also benefiting from the experience of helping to implement structure, process into an unstructured start-up environment.
You will operate at the centre of leadership activity, enabling the Managing Director and Senior Management to relinquished day to day project activities and delivery. If you thrive and excel in a start-up environment, enjoy working with diverse departments and stakeholders to implement commercial and productive processes and procedure, governance, strategic coordination, whilst project managing key strategic programmes, and confidential information this role will provide an opportunity to play a pivotal part in a Global Sports Championships continued transformation and growth.
The Role
This position acts as the connective point between the Managing Director, the broader organisation and internal organisation. You will manage governance activity, and ensure strategic priorities are executed at pace.
You will coordinate forward schedules, align stakeholders, and support the MD with external and internal projects/engagements where required. The role combines exceptional organisation with strategic awareness, enabling leaders to focus on what matters most.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the business change and transformation project.
* Managing and coordinating new strategic developments, processes and projects.
* Maintain forward schedules of business, Board and investor activity
* Track and coordinate Managing Director priorities, ensuring follow-through on actions and milestones
* Implementing key strategic programs as required.
* Act as the central interface for MD internal and external engagement
* Manage finance, budgets and costs.
* Draft briefings, communications and strategic updates
* Analysing various MI sources to provide insight to Business Head and senior stakeholders.
* Partner with HR and Communications to ensure messages cascade effectively
Required experience and skills
* Senior business management experience within a fast-paced, complex business
* Proven experience of implementing change programmes and strategies with a start-up environment
* Strong understanding of strategic project management, coordination and business planning experience.
* Ability to manage projects end-to-end
* Working with various functions and the business to propose and deliver solutions to improve broken processes, strengthen our controls and governance.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and confidential matters professionally
* Collaborative, approachable, able to build trust at all levels
* Digitally confident with document-management and productivity platforms
Working Structure:
· 3 days a week in the office, in London
Travel:
· Comfortable & able to travel to global race locations, as required by or with the Managing Director
