Position: Retail Area Collector (37.5 hours per week)
We are seeking a friendly and helpful team member for the Salvation Army Trading Company. This role involves collection and delivery of donated goods to private homes, assessing quality of donations, and assisting in the shop when not driving. The position requires extensive manual handling and no evening or Sunday work.
Responsibilities
* Collect donated goods from donors and deliver to private residences.
* Assess donated goods for quality and compliance with store standards.
* Assist in shop operations when not driving, including stocking and customer service.
* Handle goods manually, ensuring safety and compliance with manual handling protocols.
* Operate a reliable vehicle and maintain the required current driving licence.
Qualifications
* Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
* Full and current driving licence.
* Experience with manual handling.
* Passion for charity retailing.
* Knowledge of the local area.
* Ability to adapt quickly and think on your feet.
