SUMMARY OF POSITION
What's the Gig, you ask?
You will be part of a small, dynamic finance team, working closely with and reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This role provides a unique opportunity to manage day-to-day financial operations, with full ownership of the AR & AP ledgers, while fostering collaboration with other members of the Finance Team to ensure effective workflow and alignment. You will also be expected to manage the systems used by Finance & review processes as / when required, identifying opportunities for improvements and ensuring the Finance Team is working as efficiently as possible.
You will be diligent, with an eye for detail and excellent organisational skills. You will also need to be a strong communicator, with the ability to speak directly to customers. You will be able to work rigorously towards solving problems independently as well as collaboratively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role will include but may not be limited to the following responsibilities;
* Lead the end-to-end sales invoicing process for event bookings, designing robust credit control strategies to optimise cash flow and minimise debtor days.
* Perform month end reconciliation of all income-related balance sheet items, including deferred income
* Oversee our purchase invoice processing system, verifying the accuracy of accounts payable records and ensuring approval procedures are followed
* Provide comprehensive management of all Group bank portals & reconciliations, ensuring real-time visibility of liquidity.
* Maintenance of bank accounts and payment portals
* Serve as the Lead Administrator for the finance tech stack, driving system efficiencies and exploring scalable alternatives where necessary
* Be the primary finance lead for the integration of operational data (e.g., EPOS), allowing for seamless data flows between the Finance department and broader business units to ensure data integrity.
* Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by the Financial Controller
SKILLS, DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
* Solid understanding of book keeping and accounting
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role
* Strong analytical rigour and problem solving skills
* Experience of working with Xero is desirable

You will be primarily be based at Clays support office in Moorgate with some flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working model.
