Job Opportunity: Adult Social worker Contract Length: 3-month initial contract Extension: Possible extension subject to service needs Hours: 37 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Location: Stroud Social Care Locality Office, GL5 4AE Caseload: Capped at 25 Pay & Allowances £35.00 per hour £150 per week accommodation / mileage allowance About the Role Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join its Locality Team. You will work with adults with care and support needs, undertaking complex statutory work in line with the Care Act and related legislation. You will deliver strengths-based, person-centred practice using the Three Conversations Model, supporting individuals in complex and high-risk situations, including safeguarding enquiries. Key Responsibilities Undertake Care Act assessments, reviews and support planning Manage complex adult social care cases, including safeguarding (Section 42 enquiries) Work collaboratively with health, housing and partner agencies Support individuals to maintain independence and manage risk Maintain accurate, timely case records Apply professional judgement in line with legislation and best practice Essential Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria: Social Work England (SWE) registration Experience working as an Adult Social Worker Completed ASYE, or minimum 2 years' post-qualifying experience as a Social Worker UK local authority experience (adults services) Full, clean UK driving licence Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team Why Apply?
