Overview
As Shop Supervisor you will be using your skills and retail experience to help drive business, push sales, and achieve targets. You will lead a team to deliver great customer service to our donors and customers, work with the local community to generate donated stock, recruit and train volunteers, and act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coach a team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
* Collaborate with the local community to generate donated stock for sales.
* Recruit, train, and retain a volunteer team; provide leadership and guidance to volunteers and the shop manager.
* Set high standards of merchandising and housekeeping; ensure health and safety is a priority.
* Manage effective stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
* Act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder and support in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
* Support in managing stock processes through the Epos system.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have: retail experience with commercial awareness to deliver sales, a positive attitude and good judgement, proven team leadership skills, and the ability to lead a large team of volunteers. It is essential that you enjoy engaging with people and have a positive can-do attitude, with a good understanding of financial and IT administration.

Role Details
In retail, most work occurs on weekends; managers typically work only 1 in 2 weekends. We don’t expect teams to work past 5:15 PM in most shops. The earliest start is 8:45 AM. We have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day off.

Hours, Pay & Benefits
15 hours per week over 7 days; £12.36 per hour plus rewards & benefits.
