We have an amazing opportunity for you to apply for a 1 year paid Student Placement in our Events Team at the exclusive Everglades Hotel
Under the inspiring leadership of our Events Manager, Alannah Hood, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality.
The successful candidate can expect to work mainly office hours Monday- Friday (35 hours excluding breaks) with some operational work in the evenings and weekend to assist with the running of events.
The rate of pay for this full-time position is £23,478.00

About The Role
To assist the Events Manager with the smooth running of the Events department for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum profit contribution to the hotel.
1. To ensure the efficient operation of selling conference & banqueting bookings and the delivery of Hastings service standards.
2. To liaise with customers face-to-face, via email, telephone and through website enquiries.
3. To assist with the running of events including set up and welcoming and serving guests.
4. To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
5. To assist in creating reports for Business Development Meetings
6. To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments, suppliers and agencies to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
7. To comply with all health, safety, hygiene and licensing policies and procedures
8. Support the Events manager to achieve departmental objectives.
9. To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and be proactive in the sale of these to guests
10. Any other duties as required by management.
About You
We would love you to have similar previous experience but this is not essential as we will provide you with full training.
