An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Primary Mental Health Team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The team is fully embedded into the Specialist CAMHS structure, providing advice, support and brief interventions to children and young people in the Bradford /Airedale/Craven area. We are seeking to recruit a Band 5 Practitioner for the PMHW role.
The role involves liaising, consulting and supporting voluntary and community sector organisations, schools, alternative provisions and other health professionals to improve the emotional mental health of young people. The successful post-holder will maintain a caseload and offer short‑term interventions to support children and young persons experiencing emotional distress, and to promote resilience and recovery of well‑being.
Main duties of the job
To contribute to the development and provision of services to children and young people with mental health needs, including assessing, planning and delivering short-term packages of care. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide specialist support, consultation and training to staff within the service and other agencies as appropriate.
The post holder will be expected to provide assessment and therapeutic interventions at Tier 2 and Tier 3 level, and to provide consultation and liaison to the teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current registration with professional body
* Registration as Mental Health / Learning Disability / Children’s Nurse (including newly qualified), Social Worker (including newly qualified)
* ENB 998 or equivalent or equivalent supervision of students qualification
Experience
* Experience of working in a mental health setting either substantively or through placement.
* Experience of working in specialist areas, for example substance misuse and alcohol service, advocacy, domestic violence, criminal justice, children’s services, learning disability services
