Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint a proactive and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join their logistics and operations team in Woolwich. Role Overview As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in managing inventory, preparing materials for on-site engineers, and handling collections and deliveries to various locations. You’ll work closely with the wider team to support daily operations and ensure all processes are followed efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities * Manage stock levels and organise warehouse space efficiently * Prepare materials, equipment, and tools for dispatch to project sites * Load and unload deliveries using a forklift (training available if needed) * Deliver and collect goods between warehouse, suppliers, and job sites * Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the warehouse * Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency * Adhere to all company procedures for stock handling and inventory control * Support ad-hoc operational duties as required Essential Skills & Attributes * Strong organisational and time management abilities * Clear communication skills (both written and verbal) * Ability to work well both independently and within a team * Proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work * Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining accuracy * High attention to detail and willingness to learn * Capable of following instructions and using initiative Experience & Qualifications * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics role (preferably in construction or engineering) * Forklift licence is desirable (training provided for the right candidate) * Full, clean UK driving licence is essential * Comfortable using stock management systems and basic IT tools * Knowledge of warehouse health and safety procedures * Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments Due to the high number of applications, Aspire Recruitment can only contact short-listed candidates for the role.
