JOIN BLOOM

We are a speciality coffee shop and brunch kitchen. Established in 2017 through a passion for sharing good coffee & food.

Over the years the business has become highly established in the area, driven through a keen focus on the quality of everything we offer to our customers.

We constantly strive to produce the best we can, and believe this is what has allowed our continued growth.

If you have a similar passion & work ethos, and would like to join Bloom, we would love to meet you.

Service is fast paced, especially on the weekends with 60 covers based over 2 floors - opening hours of pm, allowing for a positive work/life balance.

ROLE

The role is a co-management role as we are looking for two committed managers who enjoy leading people in a fast paced environment.

The role will require the development of a good partnership between managers through effective communication and working together to complete the necessary tasks to make the business function.

The managers will work closely alongside each other, with the role being autonomous to the point of setting the overall tone and feel of the business, therefore being pro-active and having the internal drive to complete all necessary tasks is crucial.

Whilst the overall running & success of the cafe will be a shared responsibility between managers, specific roles & duties will be outlined by the owner, taking into consideration the strengths of each person, in order to provide clarity and ownership over specific tasks.

Support will be available from the owner when needed but responsibility for the daily operations of the business will be under the control of the managers working together to problem solve and to continue to drive the business forward.

We are a small team and we all work together to ensure a smooth service. Due to the small nature of the team the suitable candidates will have to maintain personable relationships with all members of staff.

Friendly service, consistent quality of food and good coffee under pin everything we do at Bloom. The managers joining the team, will be expected to maintain these values, to allow the business to continue towards that shared goal.

Management will need to be able to run the weekend shifts, displaying the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

We are looking for people who have self belief in their own ability to sort situations as they arise – for this a level of being practical & having the confidence to make decisions independently is required.

Candidates need to have previous management experience & knowledge of how to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment.

Working closely with the kitchen is an important aspect of the role, ensuring that communication between front of house and back of house is maintained. The managers need to therefore ensure that knowledge of the food standards expected is understood by all front of house.
