We have a great opportunity for a Warehouse Team Member
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Maintain a safe working environment, operating an efficient storage system for all inventory and ensuring internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded by close liaison with Sales, Planning, Purchasing and Production.
* Receiving of, checking and entry into computer system all goods in.
* Reviewing picking lists, correctly picking and appropriate packing of all external deliveries to customers and field based staff. Maintain appropriate shipping data and metrics.
* Maintain strict inventory control ensuring stock shelf life is rotated to ensure minimal issues with out life or shelf life
* Ensure all documentation is correct for both despatch and goods inwards.
* Liaise with Sales / Planning / Purchasing and Production departments to ensure on time deliveries
* Comply with all Health and Safety requirements making all decisions with H&S and the Environment in mind
* Drive quality improvements to world class levels
* Be customer focussed at all times
* To be an effective team member assisting the Warehouse Team Leader in the smooth running of the shift.
Experience/Qualifications Required
* Microsoft Office - Word and Excel – Confident user
* Fork lift truck – Counterbalance and Reach Qualified
* A formal qualification / NVQ in Warehousing & Storage would be a distinct advantage
* Previous experience in leading a team would be a distinct advantage
