About NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board
NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is a statutory NHS organisation, formed in response to the Health and Care Act 2022, responsible for securing healthcare provision for the 1.4m population of South Yorkshire. Our core responsibility is to develop a plan to meet the health needs of the population, manage the NHS budget and arrange for the provision of health services in the Integrated Care System area. We work across the system to commission services and support our hospitals, community services and local authorities, and we are proud to lead integrated care efforts, working collaboratively with our clinical, academic and community partners to deliver high‑quality, sustainable health and care services.
Across Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield we work alongside our local councils, voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and other partners to address health inequalities and wider determinants of health.
South Yorkshire ICB is a Disability Confident Employer.
