Overview
Team Secretary in Banking Capital Policy Head of Department Office at Bank of England. This role provides multi-skilled administrative support to the team and works with other Administrators across two divisions within Prudential Policy Directorate.
Responsibilities
* Providing secretarial and administrative support to a number of teams within two divisions.
* Collaborating with the Division's Admin Team to provide wider administrative support.
* Keeping key data sets up to date (e.g., coordinating timesheet reports and holiday schedules).
* Establishing and maintaining close links with stakeholders across the PRA and Bank of England, including external contacts.
* Handling ad-hoc requests within the Directorate or wider Bank.
* Sharing best practices regarding Bankwide applications and helping team members carry out their responsibilities.
* Diary management, liaising with internal and external contacts, and collating papers for the following day where necessary.
* Managing incoming emails.
* Preparing and editing documents, letters, reports and presentations; offering advice on how best to do this.
* Planning and arranging domestic and international travel.
* Assisting with the administration side of recruitment and completing expenses.
* Attending internal meetings, minute-taking and chasing up actions.
* Willingly cover for colleagues to provide effective support to other teams as required.
* Provide professional administrative support across diverse settings; demonstrate strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Exhibit excellent organisation, time management, and ability to multi-task to tight deadlines.
* Be a proven team player with the ability to work on your own initiative and handle confidential information with integrity.
* Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external contacts; maintain professionalism and strong prioritisation skills.
Minimum, Essential and Desirable Criteria
* Minimum Criteria: Experienced in providing administrative support in a professional context and across diverse settings; good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Essential Criteria: Excellent organisation and time management; ability to multi-task; strong oral and written communication; ability to handle confidential information; confidence dealing with all staff levels; professionalism; strong prioritisation and time management.
* Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of Bank systems and experience using PowerPoint (training can be provided).
Salary and Benefits Information
Leeds circa £24,180–£26,280. We encourage flexible working, part-time working and job-share arrangements. Part-time salary and benefits will be pro-rated as appropriate. Benefits include:
