* Support her strict routine; adapt and be respectful of her needs.
* Assist with medication prompting and administration, including Buccal Midazolam (emergency medication) once trained.
* Help with eating and drinking assistance.
* Provide bathroom assistance (minimal toileting support).
* Transport her to activities using your own car (mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile); help with getting in and out of the car, seatbelt use and safety locks.
* Book activities, pay entrance fees (covered), and order food or drinks as needed.
* Support her mealtime routines and help with food and drink as required.
* Assist with other relevant duties as required to support her enjoyment, safety and development.
* Provide continuous emotional support to help her manage triggers and distress.
* Remain alert to surroundings, especially near roads or unfamiliar environments, and be ready to act quickly.
* Use alternative communication methods to understand her needs and help her express herself (she is semi‑verbal and uses aids at school).
* Respect her routines and preferred ways of doing things; provide ear defenders in noisy public toilets if needed.
* Follow her Epilepsy Emergency Care Plan and carry emergency medication at all times.
Key Qualifications
* Responsible, alert, and empathetic.
* Confident in supporting children with additional needs.
* Experience with autism and epilepsy is preferred; full training will be provided (including administration of Buccal Midazolam).
