Job Requirements

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Architectural Designer (Part 2) to join our team in a full‑time position. This role is suited to individuals who are actively working towards, or have completed, a RIBA Part 2 qualification.

You will work alongside our professional team on live projects, gaining exposure to the full architectural process, from design development and technical delivery through to client liaison. This role will support your continued professional development as you progress towards Part 3.

What We’re Looking For

* Completion of, or working towards, a RIBA Part 2 qualification
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience in an architectural practice or similar
* Strong design, visualisation, and graphic skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/or Revit (desirable)
* Well organised, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills and a professional approach with colleagues and clients
* A proactive attitude and commitment to ongoing professional development

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

* Assisting in the preparation of drawings, specifications, and schedules
* Undertaking surveys and producing drawings of existing buildings, structures, and sites (with appropriate support)
* Producing presentation materials including graphics, documents, visuals, and models
* Carrying out administrative tasks related to project documentation
* Supporting the delivery of projects to meet client requirements and deadlines
* Contributing to design solutions and resolving technical challenges
* Ensuring compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and quality procedures
* Responding to client queries and liaising with the wider team
* Researching building design, legislation, and relevant codes of practice

Why Join Us?

This is a great opportunity to build on your Part 1 experience, develop your technical and professional skills, and work within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will gain valuable experience across all project stages while being supported in your progression towards Part 3.

Diversity and Inclusion

At P+HS, our commitment to enhancing lives extends to our people. We are dedicated to fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. We actively welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.

We aim to create a welcoming, fair, and supportive interview process. Please let us know if you have any requirements or adjustments, we’re happy to accommodate.

Not sure you meet every requirement?

Research shows that women, disabled people, LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodiverse people, and those from ethnic minority backgrounds often hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the criteria. At P+HS, we value potential and attitude as much as experience. If you meet around 80% of the criteria and are excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply.

If you’re passionate about creating architecture that makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Benefits

Flexible working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas shutdown, professional fees paid, health and wellbeing scheme, profit share scheme.
