ROLE SUMMARY The AI Capability Lead translates business demand into scalable, production‑ready AI capabilities. Partnering with FIT teams for intake and OSS Delivery for scale, this role delivers core builds, matures pilot solutions not yet ready for Global Delivery, and drives service‑delivery standardization across AI technologies, processes, and best practices. This role also drives innovation and high‑quality project delivery by effectively mobilizing both in‑house expertise and external specialist partners. The AI Capability Lead ensures that cutting‑edge technologies, industry best practices, and emerging methodologies are evaluated and integrated into delivery approaches. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on technical leader with a genuine passion for AI and innovation. They’re comfortable juggling multiple projects at once and have a strong track record of delivering real outcomes in complex, enterprise environments. They know how to spot great talent, build high‑performing teams, and mentor people to grow their skills. They thrive in fast‑moving settings, switching easily between lean, agile, and flexible ways of working to fit the needs of each project. Above all, they bring curiosity, accountability, and a practical mindset to turning ideas into scalable, reliable solutions. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the technical intake process for new requests coming from Enablement, CMO and FIT. This includes assessing feasibility, data readiness and potential risks, and turning early ideas into clear, well‑defined statements of work. Design and deliver reusable core builds, patterns and accelerators that support consistent technical re‑use and prepare solutions for enterprise‑level scaling. Take full ownership of AI project delivery before they transition to Global Delivery, ensuring all work meets required compliance, security and quality standards. Oversee multiple development pods made up of internal engineers and external vendor partners. Keep workstreams aligned, prioritized and moving at pace across several projects running in parallel. Bring strong project‑management skills, using lean, agile and flexible delivery methods. Adapt the way of working based on business context, regulatory needs and the urgency of each request. Establish and maintain standard service‑delivery practices, including ways of working, SLAs/SLOs, runbooks, incident and operational processes and quality gates. Ensure these are aligned with broader Service Design and Delivery principles. Manage the transition of projects into scaled delivery by coordinating knowledge transfer, documentation and acceptance criteria with Delivery, GSO and the wider C4 organization. Build strong relationships with key partners across CMO, FIT, OSS Delivery, Security, Legal/Privacy and Data teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines and success measures. Define and track KPIs and OKRs—such as time‑to‑value, adoption, reliability and cost‑per‑output—and share insights through scorecards and retrospectives. QUALIFICATIONS Strong experience in program management, solutions consulting, or product leadership in software/AI environments. Demonstrated success engaging executives, shaping ambiguous demand, and transitioning opportunities into successful deliveries. Proven program delivery knowledge with experience managing complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. Excellent communication and proven track record in engagement roles, including executive presentations and stakeholder facilitation. Strong facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills with ability to create persuasive decks and value cases. Familiarity with GenAI lifecycles, evaluation frameworks, and compliance requirements with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Change-management and enablement experience including training design, curricula development, and communities of practice. Proven track record shipping AI/ML or automation capabilities from pilot to production at scale. Strong program delivery skills (road ‑ mapping, backlog grooming, release planning, vendor coordination). Working knowledge of GenAI stacks (LLMs, vector stores, agents, orchestration, guardrails), data governance, security, and compliance. Excellent stakeholder communication; ability to translate business outcomes into technical plans.
