Application Process
1. Please ensure your email address is entered accurately, as all correspondence will be via email. Check your spam/junk folders regularly, and monitor your Jobtrain account for updates. For system support, contact the Jobtrain Candidate Support Hub.
2. We recommend using the browsers Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the best experience on Jobtrain. Accessing via mobile phone may cause issues.
3. Do not upload a CV, as it will not be used for shortlisting.
4. Within the application, answer the three questions thoroughly to demonstrate why you are the ideal candidate. The section times out after 30 minutes; it is advisable to prepare your responses in a Word document and then copy and paste. Be mindful of character limits, as exceeding them will cut off your responses.
5. Once submitted, applications cannot be amended. Submit before the closing date at midnight.
6. If you are an existing staff member, update your Jobtrain profile to reflect your employment with NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
7. Staff and patients at our hospital sites enjoy free, unlimited parking.
Note: Applications may close early if volume is high, so do not delay submitting your application.

Right to Work in the UK
We are legally obliged to verify that all prospective employees have the necessary permission to work in the UK, as granted by the UK Border Agency. This applies regardless of nationality or job type. Candidates requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship should refer to the UK Border Agency’s points-based system at www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk.
Ensure the vacancy salary meets the minimum required for sponsorship. We cannot sponsor bank contracts.
UK Registration
We are currently unable to support OSCE training for international nurses. All vacancies requiring professional registration must have full UK registration with the relevant council (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GMC).
