Investment Operations Lead Location: Sheffield / Hybrid Working (Expectation that you will attend an office 2 days per week) Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri) Salary : £65,000 - £77,500 p/a THE ROLE As a member of the Chief Operating Office division, you will have accountability for the performance and delivery of the Product Operations team and bring experience, knowledge, and future vision for evolving the team including its strategy, operating model, product and service offerings and workforce. You will manage the Operational team (circa 17 FTE) focused on delivery of service levels to the Bank's Investment division, ensuring the delivery of key processes and the management of the associated risk. To do this you will require the ability to develop solutions whilst maintaining delivery will be critical in ensuring that the team retains the ability to evolve to meet the Bank's ongoings need. You will also drive stakeholder relationships with key internal colleagues and work in conjunction with their peers across COO to deliver on this, and build core relationships with the Investment Business as the primary service provider to this team The portfolio is focussed on direct and indirect equity, debt, fund of funds and lending products. Key processes will include portfolio reporting, drawdowns and distributions, reconciliation, treasury management, NAV calculation and reconciliation, fee checking and portfolio reporting, and you will need to drive the integration of new activities into the Product Operations team which continue to centralise operational roles from within the product teams to help define and implement changes to the target operating model for the Bank's Corporate Services. The Product Operations Team provide operational processing support as well as prepare key financial reconciliations for financial management and reporting, and the function combines product and operational knowledge to support the delivery of key projects. You will therefore need to have a focus on efficiency, standardisation and continuous improvement of the core processes. This capability has strong functional alignment with Investments, Finance, Risk, Data and Change & Innovation functions. In addition, the role will support the management of critical operational and risk management within the Bank With broad experience in financial services, you will also be able to demonstrate substantial experience in leading cross-functional teams, multidisciplinary environments, operating and influencing effectively across the organisation and within complex contexts. Expertise leading and building high performing operations teams is also essential as is experience of Investment, Fund, Venture Capital and/or Banking Products.
