The Role
The Cash and Banking Controller is responsible for ensuring effective and timely cash management across properties, in compliance with Client requirements and RICS Client Monies regulations.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high standards of Cash and Banking services aligned with Client service levels;
* Monitor and allocate received cash, identify source funds, and ensure posting to correct accounts within 24 hours;
* Process payments promptly, avoiding overdrafts;
* Collaborate with surveyors, Clients, and team members;
* Manage cash and banking software and related files;
* Support contractual compliance, including SLAs and KPIs for BNPPRE;
* Continuously improve financial management processes in line with legislation;
* Work with management to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and control;
* Serve as the primary contact for Clients, surveyors, and other relevant parties;
* Ensure quality assurance reviews are completed before issuing reports or data;
* Assist with internal and external audits of financial procedures and controls.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Working towards a recognised cash and banking or accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA), or qualified through experience (beneficial but not essential);
* GCSEs including Maths and English;
Experience / Person Specification
* Experience in cash allocation, source fund identification, and bank reconciliation;
* Ability to deliver services as per contractual agreements;
* Experience in client monies management;
* Experience in quality assurance and audits of financial information;
