Job Title: MIG Welder / FabricatorLocation: SheffieldSalary: £33,245 per year
Working Hours:
* Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:30pm
* Friday: 7:00am – 12:30pm (paid at time and a third)
Breaks:
* 10:00am – 10:15am
* 12:30pm – 1:00pm
* 3:00pm – 3:10pm
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Sheffield. This is a hands-on role working within a busy fabrication workshop, producing high-quality components and structures for a variety of industrial applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a welder who takes pride in their work and is looking to join a stable business offering consistent hours and long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out MIG welding on mild steel components to a high standard
* Fabricating parts and assemblies from engineering drawings
* Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials prior to welding
* Operating fabrication equipment including grinders, drills, and saws
* Ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications
* Performing visual inspections of welded components
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Following all health and safety procedures within the workshop
Requirements
* Proven experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator within a manufacturing or engineering environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working with mild steel and structural fabrications
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good understanding of health and safety within a fabrication environment
