KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant | BS34 | Full Time | September Start
We are looking for an energetic and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to take on a full time 1:1 role in the BS34 area of Bristol. This position starts in September and involves working closely with an individual child who needs additional support to thrive in their learning.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child in a KS2 class - Helping your pupil access the curriculum and engage with classroom activities - Supporting social, emotional and communication development - Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow support plans - Building a positive and trusting relationship with your pupil - Encouraging independence and confidence in a nurturing way - Supporting your pupil during lessons, break times and transitions throughout the day
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with primary aged children, ideally in KS2 or a school setting - A proactive and energetic approach - Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs - Strong communication skills - Reliability and professionalism - An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
