As we continue to grow, were looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in supporting our financial operations and strategic goals. Job Summary The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, manage payment processes, completing or reviewing Ofgem RFIs (Requests for Information), and supervising other members of the team. This role requires, attention to detail, leadership capabilities and ideally industry knowledge Responsibilities Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and month-end close Oversee payment processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness Prepare and respond to RFIs for internal and external stakeholders Manage and mentor accounting team Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Liaise with directors and non-finance teams to provide insight and guidance. Prepare reconciliations, review P&L and balance sheet reports. Requirements Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, AAT level 4) Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in the energy industry Strong understanding of financial systems and payment workflows Experience completing and checking RFIs and working with cross-functional teams A confident communicator. Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE).
