We are looking for a hardworking and proactive Kitchen Porter to join our breakfast team at the Washington Guesthouse on a part-time basis. This role offers 12-15 hours per week, usually worked over 3-4 short morning shifts each week (rota based, to include weekday and weekend mornings). The Washington is part of Quarter, an independent hospitality group based in Clifton, Bristol. Located on St Paul's Road in Clifton, the Washington combines period charm with warm, friendly service. This role would suit someone who is looking to get some early morning part-time work alongside their studies or other commitments or who is looking progress in a kitchen and would like somewhere to start! Key information for the morning Kitchen Porter role: Hours: Part time, 12-15 hours per week usually worked over 3-4 short early morning shifts (rota based) Salary: £11.00 - £12.25 per hour Shift timings: Approximate shift times are 7am – 10.30am on weekdays, and 8 am – 10.30am on weekends. Ongoing training and support What you’ll be doing as Kitchen Porter: Working early morning shifts to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided) Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins About our ideal Kitchen Porter: You’re a friendly, proactive and hardworking morning person. Ideally, you’ll have some experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment, but full training will be provided so the most important thing is to have that hardworking attitude, friendliness and good time management!
