SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Stockport
Start Date: After the Easter Break
Contract: Via agency (initially) with potential for temp-to-perm
We are a specialist education recruitment agency working with a number of welcoming primary and secondary schools across Stockport, who are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams after the Easter break.
This is a full-time opportunity, initially through the agency, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary and/or secondary settings
* Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support learning and development
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
* Promote positive behaviour and help create a supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
* Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them
* A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
