Position Summary: Instructional Program Manager FSCJ VERTICAL

This is not your average teaching role. As an IPM, you’ll play a vital part in a life-changing, workforce-focused program that helps students explore careers, gain work experience, earn industry credentials, and develop essential life and employability skills. You’ll be more than a teacher—you’ll be a mentor, advocate, and guide on the path to economic mobility and personal growth.

· Serve as the primary instructor for a cohort of up to 10 students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
· Deliver engaging, accessible instruction in career exploration, workplace readiness, and industry certification preparation.
· Coordinate and lead job shadowing, field trips, and community-based experiences that expose students to real-world work environments.
· Provide individualized support, feedback, and encouragement to help students develop confidence, self-advocacy, and independence.
· Regularly update and adapt the curriculum to meet student needs and industry standards.
· Collaborate with campus and community partners to identify credentialing opportunities and job placement pathways.
· Participate in student recruitment efforts, including school visits, family info sessions, and program promotion events.
· Attend the Florida Center for Students with Unique Abilities (FCSUA) planning session each July to support program alignment and continuous improvement.
· Maintain accurate student progress and outcomes records, contributing to program evaluation and growth.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· A bachelor’s degree in education, special education, counseling, rehabilitation services, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
· Experience working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in educational or workforce settings
· A dynamic, engaging personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
· A growth mindset and commitment to inclusive practices and lifelong learning
· Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, employers, and colleagues
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Creativity, adaptability, and a sincere desire to make a lasting impact
