A well-established international engineering and offshore energy group is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with strong pre-award / bidding experience in the offshore wind sector. This is a long-term Outside IR35 contract, fully remote, engaged via LTD company.
The Role
You will support commercial activities in the bidding and tendering phase, including reviewing tender documentation, preparing commercial inputs, analysing pricing structures, and coordinating pre-award deliverables for offshore wind scopes.
This role suits someone who has previously worked on the supplier, fabrication, OEM, or EPCI side, with a solid understanding of how commercial risk, pricing assumptions, and bid strategies are developed in offshore wind.
Key Responsibilities
* Review tender documents, scope clarifications, and pre-award commercial requirements
* Prepare pricing inputs, commercial summaries, and support bid submissions
* Support commercial strategy during the tendering and evaluation phase
* Coordinate with engineering and project teams to gather bid inputs
* Participate in pre-award clarifications and negotiations
Key Requirements
* Essential: Strong offshore wind experience in bidding / tendering / proposals / pre-award commercial work
* Experience from supplier-side, fabrication, OEM, or EPCI environments strongly preferred
* Understanding of heavy steel or fabrication packages (e.g., foundations, structures, large fabricated components) is an advantage
* Able to work independently and advise on commercial risks
* Comfortable operating through an Outside IR35 LTD company under a monthly fee structure rather than a traditional day-rate model
