We are currently recruiting for a Motiv8 Employability Key Worker to join our team.
About Motiv8:
Motiv8 is a programme supporting those furthest from the labour market. Funded by the DWP since 2023, it offers personalised support to help people with complex needs move towards employment. The programme is led by Jigsaw Support and delivered in partnership with Skylight, Starts with You, Wythenshawe Community Housing Group, For Housing, and Shelter.
About the Role:
As an Employability Key Worker, you will manage and monitor a caseload of participants, engaging them through face-to-face, telephone, and video support. Your responsibilities include providing and coordinating tailored support packages to improve participants' health, wellbeing, self-confidence, and self-esteem. You will help participants understand their strengths and aspirations, supporting their progress towards training, job search, and employment. This involves developing and delivering one-to-one and group interventions, conducting risk and need assessments, and creating SMART action plans.
Your support will be flexible and holistic, with continual reassessment of participant needs. Building relationships with key partners and stakeholders is essential, as is recording and maintaining accurate case notes using the ECCO system. You will adhere to organisational policies and work flexibly across Greater Manchester.
You will collaborate with relevant agencies within the partnership and wider community, matching services to participant needs through a tailored delivery approach. The role involves working with individuals aged 18 and over with multiple complex needs, including entrenched worklessness, living in a jobless household, debt, mental health issues, homelessness, a history of offending, disabilities, and other health issues such as drug and alcohol addiction.
You will provide one-to-one support for a minimum of six months, helping participants overcome barriers to progress in training, job search, or employment. Delivery will primarily be in Stockport, across the ten local authorities in Greater Manchester.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in case recording and management, experience handling a personal caseload, and the ability to recognise and address safeguarding concerns appropriately. Proficiency in IT systems and case management is essential, along with experience providing one-to-one support, advice, employability, or housing services. Knowledge of careers advice and benefits, excellent communication skills, and a flexible approach to working across various locations in Greater Manchester are required.
You should be able to build positive relationships with service users, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively within a team.
