Join Our Team as a Principal Design Engineer!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a Principal Design Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic Design team in Salford. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in flood, water management, and drainage projects to deliver exceptional outcomes for a diverse array of clients, including National Highways, local authorities, and major projects like the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine.
Location: Salford - Office-based with some remote working options available
Salary: £50,000 - £57,500 + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare + additional benefits
Your Responsibilities
As our Principal Design Engineer, you will lead a talented team of designers in delivering high-value, high-quality drainage schemes. You will support the Drainage Design Manager in executing our drainage strategy. Your daily tasks will include:
* Upholding the highest standards of quality and project controls established by the team and the wider business.
* Implementing the latest design standards and lessons learned into projects.
* Liaising with statutory and non-statutory bodies to obtain relevant data, licenses, and consents.
* Driving technical excellence and continuous improvement across the team.
* Monitoring project delivery and managing change control effectively.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you possess:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a similar combination of qualifications and experience.
* Proven expertise in a similar role, successfully leading teams to deliver projects.
* A project management qualification and/or relevant experience.
