City-based, global Investment & Trading company is looking to hire a graduate Business Analyst to join their growing London operations.
The Business Analyst will join the London OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) Department, part of the Steel Business Unit. This department focuses on supplying tubular steel products to the energy industry, with projects across Europe and Africa, including the UK, Norway, Denmark, Senegal, and Azerbaijan. The OCTG business operates across multiple energy fields from Oil & Gas to Geothermal and is developing a sustainable and digital supply chain management offering for its customers.
Main responsibilities include:
* Supporting development and execution of global framework agreements with key energy customers
* Resolving contract and business issues in communication with the customer’s Global Category Manager
* Promoting the Supply Chain Management (SCM) business model among customer operating units
* Participating in global price negotiations and strategic meetings
* Supporting the delivery of global contract strategies to other offices
* Identifying new ways to add value outside OCTG sales, such as digitalization, standardization, and sustainability
* Supporting business development through Energy Transition collaborations
* Assisting in budget preparation and reporting
* Supporting OCTG sales activities, including tendering and contract negotiations
* Ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations
Ideal candidates should have:
* A degree in business or a technical discipline, or relevant experience
* Experience working in the energy industry (Oil & Gas)
* Understanding of procurement and logistics
* Experience in international business
* Knowledge of QAQC, HSSE, Risk Management, and legal considerations
* Attention to detail for effective contract management
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Adaptability and willingness to take on diverse tasks
* Back-office knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word, basic accounting)
