Role Overview

Senior Client Relationship Manager – Enterprise Client Programme (Insurance Client Programme), London, United Kingdom.

Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the office. The role can be based anywhere in the UK but requires easy access to the London office when needed.


Key Responsibilities


Engage with contacts at clients and targets

* Marketing & communications activity
* Engagement management
* Execute client development tactics, use analytics to identify and track leads
* Ensure tactics align with global and regional objectives as well as analytics‑driven pursuits
* Produce content, products and thought‑leadership tools, advise partners on their use
* Identify trends/topics to feed into the global products programme


Evaluation by clients and targets of our capability and appropriates to instruct

* Client and business development activity
* Sales pipeline management
* Support use of the Clyde & Co Sales Operating System for tracking and converting pursuits
* Research and intelligence: analyze internal and external data sources to meet client and practice needs
* Report on ROI of tactics and activities for opportunity identification


Conversion of opportunities to instructions

* Enterprise client pitch opportunities
* Lead strategic pitch and panel opportunities, ensuring pitch reviews are completed
* Prepare client meeting material, including marketing assets
* Conduct partner pipeline review meetings to understand opportunities and required BD support


Retention of existing clients, and expansion of relationships to other offices and practices

* Maintain client relationship management and development roles
* Take overall CM role on relevant clients, achieving growth across the programme
* Facilitate partner engagement with Enterprise account programmes
* Use existing and new products to help partners manage engagement and sales
* Represent comprehensive knowledge of assigned client accounts to senior leadership
* Create and coordinate client teams across cross‑practice groups
* Conduct regular relationship reviews and action follow‑ups with partner support
* Ensure Enterprise client matters are opted into the programme, support reporting and analysis
* Apply sector and practice insight to influence value proposition and market perception


Operational Management

People

* Ultimate responsibility for deliverables, quality, and suitability for each client
* Ensure appropriate utilisation of local and central resources, collaborating with Client Development Managers across sectors and regions; potential team management required
* Keep Head of Clients and Insurance Key Account Senior Manager apprised of progress and consult on delivery barriers

Process

* Conform to global standards and best practice, and support continuous improvement

Data

* Contribute routinely and accurately to BD systems, safeguard data integrity, and use data to analyse and improve programmes

Technology

* Ensure BD technology is utilised efficiently as processes and activities require

Budget management

* Lead annual budget process for allocated Enterprise clients, manage expenditures, and ensure appropriate ROI


Essential Skills and Experience

* Substantial experience as a senior client development practitioner in a fast‑paced professional services environment
* Experience setting and monitoring budgets
* Comfortable operating at a senior level and influencing clients and key partner/lawyer groups
* Strong organisational skills, managing multiple priorities within tight timescales
* Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure and assimilate information quickly
* Strong interpersonal skills: confidence, positivity, diplomacy, quick credibility building
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail with high accuracy
* Positive and tenacious; proactively drives initiatives forward, motivating internal and external resources
