We're working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business looking to appoint a Materials Controller - a pivotal role at the heart of their operations team.Reporting to the Logistics & Materials Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid materials management experience and a passion for process improvement. You'll be instrumental in ensuring materials are in place to meet production schedules, supporting the delivery of the wider Group Corporate Plan.The RoleAs Materials Controller, you'll collaborate across planning, procurement, design, production and logistics teams to ensure seamless material flow through the business. Responsibilities include:Calling off stock in line with forecast and demandScheduling materials based on design and production requirementsRaising and expediting purchase ordersManaging real-time stock transactions via ERP systemsMonitoring and investigating production works orders and BOMsProducing and analysing departmental KPIs in ExcelSupporting stock accuracy through cycle counts and full stock takesDriving process improvements and ensuring SLA performanceWhat We're Looking For_ Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment (preferred)_ Strong understanding of MRP and stock control systems_ Excel proficiency and strong data handling skills_ Able to prioritise, communicate clearly, and stay organised_ Confident managing budgets and performance reportingYou'll be joining a business that invests in its people-with tailored training and development to help you grow into your next career step.This is a full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week), offering a competitive salary, bonus scheme, an attractive benefits package, and excellent opportunities for ongoing development and career progression.
