VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large local authority with the recruitment of a Customer Services Officer to join their team based in Antrim. This is a Part-Time position. 22.2 hours a week. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9-5. Salary £14.84 per hour, plus benefits. Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing queries and complaints professionally across all communication channels. Continuously develop knowledge and skills to enhance service quality. Handle service requests efficiently and confidentially, in line with the organisation's customer service policies. Process customer payments, maintain accurate records, and perform financial reconciliations. Operate telephone systems and update CRM records as needed. Ensure the reception area is well-maintained and stocked with relevant materials. Assist customers with completing service-related forms and promote self-service options. Provide information on events, exhibitions, and external agencies to support customers. Support internal teams with customer service training, feedback, and performance reporting. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations of services and events. Work collaboratively within the team to meet service objectives. Be available to work flexible hours when required. The Ideal Person: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths, or 2 years' relevant experience. At least one year in a customer service role, including reception duties, cash handling, and dealing with customer queries via phone, email, or live chat. Problem-solving ability, flexible and adaptable to change, and handling sensitive information discreetly. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Access to transport for work-related duties.
