Head of HR and OD
Paying up to £72,000 PA + benefits (6M FTC)
Hybrid, Ad hoc travel to Brighton
We are seeking a highly competent Interim Head of HR & OD to support one of our charity clients through a critical period of change, restructure and transition.
The organisation is entering a period of strategic repositioning in response to global shifts in funding, sector focus, and operating models.
You will join at a sensitive and pivotal point and picking up from the planning phase and taking the organisation through implementation and consultation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the HR team and act as the senior people lead across the organisation.
* Overseeing the restructuring project including consultations, job profiling/mapping and execution.
* Managing the BAU and HR operations.
* Provide leadership on key change initiatives such as virtual working transition/office closure and working patterns.
* Maintain a strong employee relations environment grounded in transparency, empathy, and compliance.
Our client is looking for:
* A seasoned HR professional with a strong operational background and a calm, grounded presence.
* Proven experience leading or supporting restructures, ideally in mission-driven, complex organisations.
* Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD in the UK, or equivalent) or relevant experience and continuing professional development
* Experience working in or with global teams is essential.
* Deep awareness of issues around equity and inclusion. This is hugely important to our client and something they have already done a lot of work on.
* Charity, public sector, or non-profit experience is a plus, though not essential.
* Available to start by early September 2025 and commit for 6 months.
