Company profile:

A leading UK Materials Handling company is seeking an experienced Area Sales Executive to join its dynamic Sales Division.

Title: Area Sales Executive

Based: Northwest / Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000, bonus, car and benefits

Role and Responsibilities:

The Area Sales Executive will play a key role in managing and expanding existing accounts while generating new business within a specified territory. The ideal candidate will bring extensive direct sales experience and the ability to provide expert advice on Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) solutions, covering a diverse product range.

A professional, consultative sales approach combined with outstanding presentation and negotiation skills is essential. The successful candidate must be adept at quickly understanding the verticals the company operates in and adapting to evolving customer needs.

Sales:

Take full responsibility for the regions annual sales revenue and profitability.

Maintain regular contact with customers, including site visits and account management.

Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

Follow up on leads generated through marketing activities such as exhibitions, advertising, and direct campaigns.

Foster effective communication with the divisional sales team to identify cross-territory projects and sales opportunities.

Travel extensively within the designated region to engage with both new and existing customers.

Customer Service:

Ensure consistent and professional management of customer accounts.

Monitor and act upon customer feedback to improve satisfaction.

Collaborate regularly with the customer service team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Administration:

Utilise Microsoft Dynamics CRM effectively and generate accurate sales quotations.

Keep detailed and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions.

Prepare regular sales forecasts to support effective planning.

Produce activity and sales reports as required.

Skills and experience:

Proven experience or a clear understanding of RTP solutions across multiple market sectors, would be a distinct advantage.

Experience working with resellers and distributors is a plus.

Strong skills in developing and delivering sales presentations.

Competency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and other sales lead tools.

A valid UK driving license and passport are required.

Strong communication and engagement skills with company employees, including colleagues from different sites.

Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Comfortable working within established guidelines and procedures.

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Willingness to travel internationally when needed.

A positive attitude, with a commitment to promoting the companys brand and products.
