Senior Infrastructure Engineer £70,000 - £75,000 Excellent Benefits Hybrid - London (up to 3 days per week in office, remainder WFH) Permanent A leading professional services organisation is expanding its core IT Operations function and is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Engineer to technically lead 3rd line support across a modern, cloud-first global estate. This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll combine technical leadership, architecture-level troubleshooting and project delivery whilst playing a key part in major infrastructure programmes, migrations and platform modernisation initiatives. What You'll Do: Act as the senior technical lead for infrastructure, network and cloud operations Own and deliver complex platform, network and security projects alongside PMO teams Lead 3rd-line support across cloud, data centre, network and unified communications platforms Drive continuous improvement across monitoring, security, automation and service management processes Provide design input and technical governance across new and existing infrastructure initiatives Support on-call and escalation processes as part of a senior rota Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery What You'll Bring: You'll be coming from a senior operations or infrastructure engineering background within a high-availability, enterprise environment. Key skills and experience include: Strong Azure cloud background across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and security services Deep experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP/NPS, GPO and certificate services Microsoft 365 (E5), Exchange Online / hybrid Exchange environments Enterprise networking - WAN/LAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, ExpressRoute Zero Trust / Zscaler ZPA & ZIA environments Virtualisation (VMware / vSphere) and modern data centre technologies Network monitoring and observability platforms (SolarWinds or similar) Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Terraform or similar) Experience supporting Teams telephony and unified communications ITIL-aligned service operations experience You'll also be detail-oriented, highly organised, comfortable working autonomously, and confident leading technically within a fast-paced, service-critical environment.
