We are recruiting for a branch manager at our Veterinary Practice in Thornbury. This role will require the candidate to support the Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon in the management of the practice and the development of the business, promoting improvements and being an active member of the Management Team.
The successful candidate will be required to manage, lead and develop the members of the reception team to ensure excellent team work, delivering a continuous high standard of customer care.
Key responsibilities
• Manage and support the veterinary team, including veterinarians, nurses, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health and safety legislation, regulatory and practice standards.
• Develop and implement practice policies and procedures.
• Handle non-clinical client inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
• Manage practice finances, including debt control.
• Plan and coordinate marketing, promotions and monitor results.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
• Previous experience in veterinary practice or candidates with experience in management from outside the industry will be considered.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn computer software such as Practice Management System (Merlin), third party client communications.
Working hours
The ideal candidate will work 40 hours per week across five days. You will be expected to work until 7 PM at least once a week.
