We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair vehicle components
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs
Carry out welding and equipment repair tasks as required
Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Undertake MOT Test licencing training
Experience
Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance roles, preferably within a fast-paced workshop environment
Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Prior experience in customer service is desirable but not essential; a friendly attitude is valued
Preferably the successful candidate would hold a MOT Test licence or be prepared to undertake the necessary training .
