Job Description:

We’re seeking two Assistant Lawyers to advise on education and employment matters. These roles will primarily focus on education-related work, with opportunities to assist on employment law matters.

The ideal candidates will have experience providing sound legal advice, work well under pressure, and manage a busy workload under tight deadlines. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team of solicitors and legal assistants, managing tribunal proceedings and advice matters.

Experience in these specific areas is not mandatory; we value potential and willingness to develop skills. If your skills or experience differ slightly but you believe you can add value, we encourage you to apply.

We seek team players who support and develop client officers and are committed to career development through training, project involvement, and collaboration with senior officers.

This position offers professional challenges, leadership opportunities, and autonomy. You will be supported by a talented legal team dedicated to delivering strategic plans for the borough.

The successful candidates will be admitted Solicitors, CILEX members, or Barristers of England and Wales with current practising certificates.

We embrace hybrid working, with 2-3 days in the office per week, supported by remote connectivity tools. Further details will be discussed during recruitment.
