£12.42 to £15.11 per hour + 16.5% holiday pay

Based in the Kent countryside and close to the Cathedral city of Canterbury, Junior King's is one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Pre-Prep team. This full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week, 36 weeks per year) involves supporting children's learning and wellbeing in the Nursery.

The successful candidate will:

* Bring previous experience of working with or caring for children (ideally in an educational setting).
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Be flexible, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and welfare.
* Show a willingness to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding.
* Ideally hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and/or experience in phonics, reading support or early years practice (though not essential).

Key responsibilities include:

* Being a key person to children within the Nursery.
* Assisting in lessons and supporting children's learning across the curriculum.
* Supervising children during break and lunchtimes.
* Contributing to displays, planning and general classroom support.
* Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children at all times.
