The main function of this role is to deliver bakery products to our customers. Hours of work will be based on a rotating shift pattern including weekends starting between 5 and 7 pm.
Key Accountabilities
* To comply with all legal and company requirements for HGV Drivers eg Health & Safety, Vehicle road worthiness and checks, Drivers hours etc
* To always drive Company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any Company standards
* To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency
* To comply with all Company delivery and collection procedures
* To comply with Company standards for customer service
* To report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels
* To follow Company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, Company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets & pallets.
* To comply with all Company requirements for Driver training and communications
* To carry out any duties, as required by the Company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
The Right Person
Essential:
* C+E on driving licence
* One year’s driving experience of class C+E vehicles
* The ability to work shifts; including weekends
* CPC Qualification
* A digital drivers card
Desirable
* Experience of driving with double deck trailers
