Speech & Language Therapist
Location: Godalming, Surrey | Full-time | School hours 8:30am-3:30pm
Milk Education are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated speech & language therapist to support children and young people with autism and associated learning difficulties within a specialist educational setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced practitioners and newly qualified professionals looking to develop their skills within a supportive, multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with therapists, educators, and other professionals to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
About the Role
You will be working in a specialist setting supporting students aged 7–19 with autism spectrum conditions and additional needs. The provision focuses on creating a safe, positive, and structured environment where each young person is supported to achieve their full potential.
The setting takes a holistic approach, centred around three key areas:

* Independence
* Inclusion
Main duties and expectations:
* You will receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual young person’s therapeutic and mental health needs.
* You will lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, short and long-term, ensuring interventions continue to meet the needs of the YP and are consistent with the provisions detailed in their therapy plan.
* You will manage, monitor and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.
* Ability to work independently and with previous experience of working with young people with ASD, preferably within an education setting, is essential.
About You
* Experience working with children or young people with autism (ASD), ideally in an educational or SEN setting
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A nurturing, patient, and adaptable approach
* Relevant qualification (or working towards) in a therapeutic or mental health discipline (desirable).
