Due to recent organisational changes, we are seeking an Assistant Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic support team. In this role, you will: Work closely with experienced engineers to support and maintain our bespoke applications, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing platforms. Gain hands-on experience with real-world systems and processes. Learn and grow your technical skillset while contributing to the continuous improvement of our support services. Take ownership of existing processes and help enhance them through innovation and collaboration. Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage incoming support incidents and emails, providing resolutions where possible
• Log, assign, and track unresolved incidents to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction
• Perform technical support tasks including domain/user administration, software patching, and Group Policy management• Collect and analyse data to support monthly performance reporting and assist other teams
• Support software rollouts, customer training, and the creation of user-friendly guides
Qualifications & Experience
• Previous experience in a 1st Line or helpdesk support role
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• A self-motivated approach to problem-solving and learning• Technical mindset with hands-on IT/Technical support experience
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to meet SLAs
Desirable:
• Awareness of cloud technologies, networking, and IT security
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Industry-recognised computing qualifications• Exposure to software deployments and traffic industry technologies
