Job Description
The Oracle E-Business Suite Portfolio Director within the Enterprise Applications practice will lead a team of over 80 consultants, supporting more than 30 customers with a portfolio valued at approximately £/€8m. Reporting to the Head of ASPIRE Managed Services, you will oversee the delivery of ASPIRE Managed Services. This senior role offers opportunities for further progression into senior practice leadership roles within Version 1.
ASPIRE is a value-led approach to Managed Services, emphasizing continuous improvement, value, and business innovation. As the Portfolio Director, you will lead the team to deliver value, support business growth, and contribute to the ASPIRE strategy, focusing on value-added initiatives.
You will have full P&L ownership for the portfolio, with experience in managing budgets typically between £/€500k and £/€3m. Experience in delivering customer-centric outcomes and managing transformational ERP projects is essential. Skills such as team motivation, commercial acumen, bid leadership, and curiosity are valued more than deep Oracle ERP technical expertise. Oracle Business experience is mandatory, with a background as a Functional Consultant preferred.
You will play a central role in shaping proposals, delivering solutions, and understanding customer needs. Leadership in customer engagement, solution development, and commercial management is key.
Qualifications
Experience in leading teams, managing project portfolios, and developing customer solutions is required. A passion for meeting customer challenges and balancing commercial and delivery demands is essential. Customer engagement skills and the ability to lead diverse teams while embodying core values are important.
* Experience in leading bid processes, including pricing and presentations; pre-sales experience is a plus.
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to manage and analyze GP, EBITDA, and margins.
* Proven success in customer retention and satisfaction.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to recruit, develop, and resource a high-performing team.
Role Responsibilities
The role covers three main areas: Customer Delivery, Commercial Growth, and People Leadership.
Customer Delivery
Accountability for end-to-end customer engagement delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction, understanding their ways of working, and managing relationships through forums and site visits.
Commercial Growth
Collaborate with commercial teams to develop proposals and customer offerings supporting growth. Manage your own P&L, forecast team costs and revenues, and implement corrective actions to meet GP targets.
Lead a diverse team across locations, ensuring high engagement levels, skill development, and delivery excellence through methodologies and accelerators.
