About the Music Teacher Role
Are you a passionate and creative Music Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? In this role, you'll be teaching a variety of musical genres, theory, performance, and composition.
As a Music Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering musical talent and self-expression, while delivering engaging and effective lessons that support the academic and personal development of each student. You’ll be part of a collaborative department that encourages creativity and innovative thinking.
Music Teacher Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
* Differentiate your teaching to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour management
* Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and lesson planning
* Encourage student participation in extracurricular music activities such as performances, events, and workshops
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A deep passion for Music and the ability to teach across a range of musical styles
* The ability to engage, inspire, and challenge students of all abilities
* Excellent communication and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of lessons and the department
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Previous experience teaching Music at secondary level
